How I Got Started

Eric Is a NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine) Master Trainer With Over 10 Years of Personal Training Experience.

Weight training started for me in the same way I think it starts for most people. You want to change your body; you simply want to look in the mirror and see things change. But what I didn’t realize then is the greatest lessons I would learn from weight training would have nothing to do with how things look on the surface. Over the years it has shown me patience, confidence to do things I’d typically be doubtful of and perseverance.

The most important thing to me is that everyone finds something that gives them drive. Something that gives them purpose. It doesn’t have to be grandiose or what society says you should be partaking in. If you want to be an artist instead of working a desk job- do not ignore these thoughts! I can’t even count how many times I was questioned for wanting to build my own business instead of going through traditional schooling. But just because a 9-5 office job may work for others does not mean it works for everyone.

What I've Learned

Weight Training Has Continued to Teach Me How Many Times You Must Fail Before You Will Succeed and How Painfully Slow Progress Can Be.

It continues to build my mental strength as I work through the challenges of life and humbles me when I make mistakes. I chose this path because I wanted to. I live to show people that as you take care of your body, many other doors will begin to open.

When you have more energy, your output and motivation to succeed will grow. When your confidence builds, you will begin to follow your heart and do the things you’ve always been too scared to try. When you can move easier, you will have more energy to play with your kids or spend time outdoors with loved ones. And ultimately, when you move more, you burn more. If we can decrease our health risks and increase the amount of time that we get to spend on this planet doing the things we love most, why would we not? Let’s stop trying to fit a square peg into a round hole. We are all here to offer something different and unique to this world. Whatever that is for you, do not lose sight of it (in fact keep a death grip on it).
